Rooted in Purpose: Reflecting on 2024 and Planting Our Vision for 2025
As I sit down to reflect on this past year, I’m struck by just how much our little corner of the world has grown and thrived. At Triniti Salon, we’ve always believed that beauty isn’t just about what’s on the outside—it’s about how we care for the world around us and the people in it. This year has been a testament to that belief, and as I look back on all we’ve accomplished, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead.
A Year of Growth and Gratitude
2024 has been a year of rolling up our sleeves, getting our hands dirty (sometimes literally), and staying true to our mission of sustainability and care. Here are just a few highlights that make my heart so full:
Composting and Waste Diversion
- We’ve diverted 8,339 pounds of waste from landfills this year alone, which brings our total to 75,051 pounds since we started in 2018. This effort has also created 834 pounds of nutrient-rich compost in 2024, giving back to the earth in such a meaningful way. It’s humbling to think about how small, consistent actions can add up to something so impactful.
Giving Hair a Second Life
- Who would have thought that even the hair we cut could be part of the solution? This year, we repurposed 285 pounds of hair into cleanup booms used to protect waterways from oil spills. Since 2015, that’s a total of 2,565 pounds of hair put to good use. It’s a reminder that there’s beauty in finding new purpose for what might otherwise be discarded.
Planting Trees for a Brighter Future
- Every time you choose a product from our shelves, you’re planting a seed—literally. In 2024, we planted 2,215 trees, bringing our total to 14,082 trees since 2019. These trees are more than just a number; they’re part of the restoration of Jackson’s Reserve in Madagascar, a place teeming with unique and endangered species. Knowing that our efforts are helping to rebuild such a vital ecosystem fills me with hope.
Refilling, Not Replacing
- One of my favorite programs at the salon is our refill initiative. Since 2018, we’ve refilled 2,318 bottles, keeping them out of landfills and in your hands. It’s such a simple choice, but it makes a world of difference.
Recycling with Purpose
- This year alone, we’ve recycled 360 pounds of aluminum and 3,120 pounds of plastics and mixed materials. Since 2015, those numbers have grown to 2,700 pounds of aluminum and 26,550 pounds of plastics recycled. It’s proof that when we come together, we can tackle even the biggest challenges, one step at a time.
Dreaming Big for 2025
As we look ahead, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement. 2025 feels like a blank canvas, ready to be filled with bold strokes of hope, action, and growth. Here’s what we’re dreaming of:
Deepening Our Roots in Sustainability
Next year, we’re setting our sights on planting 3,000 more trees, continuing to support the incredible work happening at Jackson’s Reserve. We’ll also expand our refill program and find new ways to minimize waste, always striving to leave the earth a little better than we found it.
Growing Together with Our Community
I’ve always believed that change happens best when it’s shared. In 2025, we’re planning to host workshops, partner with local organizations, and find even more ways to give back to the community that supports us so generously. Together, we can make ripples of change that reach far beyond our salon walls.
Creating Spaces of Renewal
At Triniti Salon, we want every guest to leave feeling renewed—not just on the outside, but on the inside, too. From expanding our eco-friendly product lines to enhancing our head spa services, we’re committed to creating moments of beauty that restore and inspire.
